From property management companies that we work with. When a tenant submits a maintenance request to their property management company, that company shares the tenant’s contact information and work order details with us so that we can fulfill the service request.

Automatically through our website, using cookies and similar technologies as described in Section 8.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

To respond to and fulfill work orders submitted on your behalf by your property management company. This includes contacting you to schedule service, confirming receipt of work orders, requesting additional details or photographs about the issue, and following up after service is completed.

To send you transactional SMS notifications confirming receipt of your work order and requesting scheduling information. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS messages. SMS notifications are sent only when our staff explicitly indicate that you should be notified about a specific work order. You may opt out of SMS notifications at any time by replying STOP to any message we send you.

To communicate with you by phone, email, or text message regarding scheduling, service updates, invoicing, and customer support.

To maintain records of services performed for billing, warranty, dispute resolution, and tax purposes.

To comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, and lawful requests from government authorities.

To protect our rights, property, and the safety of our employees, customers, and the public.

To improve our services and operations.

6. SMS Messaging Program

We operate an SMS notification program for tenants whose property management companies have submitted work orders to Legendary Plumber Co. The following terms apply:

Program description. When a property management company submits a maintenance work order on your behalf, our office staff may send you a one-time SMS message confirming receipt of the work order and requesting scheduling information.

How you are enrolled. You are enrolled when your property management company shares your phone number with us as part of a work order, and our office staff explicitly indicate you should receive a notification. You are not enrolled in any automated or marketing list.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on the number of work orders associated with you. Most tenants receive one message per work order.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Legendary Plumber Co. does not charge you for SMS messages.

Opting out. You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you opt out, you will receive a confirmation message and will not receive further SMS messages from us. You may opt back in at any time by replying START.

Supported carriers. Our SMS program supports all major US mobile carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy of SMS data. Your mobile phone number and the contents of SMS messages you exchange with us are treated as personal information under this Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share SMS data, mobile phone numbers, or SMS opt-in information with third parties for marketing purposes. SMS data is shared only with our SMS service providers (such as Twilio) and our property management partners as necessary to fulfill the work order.

7. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share personal information only in the following limited circumstances:

With the property management company that submitted the work order on your behalf, for the purpose of coordinating service, providing updates, and completing billing.

With service providers that help us operate our business, such as our SMS messaging provider (Twilio), our work-order management software (Kickserv), and our email and productivity providers (Google). These service providers may process personal information on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it and use it only for the purposes we authorize.

With other contractors or subcontractors if a specific job requires expertise or licensing we do not have in-house, and only to the extent necessary to complete the work.

When required by law, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or other lawful request from a government authority.

To protect rights and safety, including to enforce our Terms of Service, prevent fraud, or address security issues.

In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
